There's a lot of new features in Windows 2012 server but one of the easiest to deploy is the DHCP Failover. Basically you don't need to do the old tricks with splitting a scope across two servers or installing DHCP as a clustered resource. Windows 2012 will do it all for you!
The DHCP Failover is pretty brainless to set up. All you have to do is:
1> Install DHCP on two servers
2> Authorize both servers
3> Create a scope on one
4> And then configure the failover option for the scope.
That's it, really, it's that easy.
..........There are a couple options of course but you can get this set up in under five minutes!
Here's the TechNet page that explains things in more depth if you really want to dig into the new feature: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh831385.aspx
