VNX Block Deduplication

EMC has really stepped up its game with VNX Block Deduplication. This new feature for the VNX5400, 5600, 5800, 7600 and 8000 (VNX2) arrays consolidates a set of block storage objects in a way that only one data copy is used by many sources. This can allow for significant data space savings. By using the fixed block deduplication method with a set size of 8 KB, redundant data is removed from a dataset.
In the coming days I will overview and break down the process of VNX Block Deduplication.
